Answers to common questions about Viber's Vault — adding projects, claiming listings, subscriptions and more.
Viber's Vault (vibersvault.com) is a free community directory and showcase for vibe-coded and AI-assisted software projects. Developers share web apps, mobile apps, games, developer tools, libraries, APIs and browser extensions to get feedback and get discovered by a community that appreciates their work.
Vibe coding is the practice of building software primarily by prompting AI tools — such as Claude, Cursor, v0, Bolt and similar assistants — rather than writing every line by hand. Viber’s Vault catalogues the finished projects that come out of this workflow so builders can share them and others can discover them.
Simply sign up for a free account, and you'll be guided through our interactive onboarding wizard. You can import projects directly from GitHub or create them manually. Our AI will help enhance your project descriptions to make them more compelling. Your first project can be published in under 5 minutes!
Yes! Viber's Vault is completely free to use. There are no premium tiers or paid features. All features including referral rewards, featured posts, analytics, and social features are available to everyone at no cost.
You can share any type of coding project: web applications, mobile apps, games, developer tools, libraries/frameworks, APIs, and browser extensions. Projects can be live websites, GitHub repositories, or anything you've built.
Click "Add Project" from the main navigation. You can either import directly from GitHub (our AI will enhance the description) or create manually by filling in the project details. Add a title, description, tags, category, demo URL, and screenshots. Once published, your project is immediately visible to the community.
Yes! Our onboarding wizard and project creation flow support direct GitHub import. We'll fetch your repository information, README content, and use AI to generate an enhanced description. This makes publishing your projects incredibly fast and easy.
Every new project automatically receives a 7-day visibility boost! During this time, your project gets extra exposure on the homepage and in discovery feeds. This helps new creators overcome the "cold start" problem and gain initial traction.
Visit your project page and click the edit button (if you're the owner). You can update all project details, add new screenshots, or delete the project entirely. Changes are saved immediately.
The best project pages include: a clear, descriptive title; a compelling description (our AI can help!); relevant tags for discoverability; a live demo URL so people can try it; high-quality screenshots; and an accurate category. Projects with demo URLs get 3x more engagement!
Viber's Vault uses an innovative organic referral system. When someone visits your profile or project page while not logged in, we track that visit with a cookie (30-day window). If they sign up within that period, you automatically get credit for referring them! No manual referral codes needed - just share your work.
There are 4 tiers: Community Builder (3 referrals) - Bronze badge; Rising Star (10 referrals) - Silver badge; Ambassador (25 referrals) - Gold badge; Legend (50+ referrals) - Diamond badge. Each tier unlocks featured post slots and displays a beautiful badge next to your name throughout the platform.
Featured Posts are premium homepage visibility for your projects. As you earn referrals, you unlock featured post slots. Featured projects appear at the top of the homepage with gold borders and a "FEATURED" badge, getting significantly more views and engagement. This is our way of rewarding community builders!
Visit your Referral Dashboard at /referrals to see your available featured post slots. Select which project you want to feature and choose the duration (typically 3-7 days). Your project will immediately appear in the featured section on the homepage.
Share your project and profile links on social media, in your GitHub README, on your personal website, in developer communities, and anywhere your target audience hangs out. When people discover your work and join Viber's Vault, you automatically get credit! Quality projects naturally attract more referrals.
Visit /analytics to access your Creator Analytics Dashboard. You'll see total views, likes, comments, and followers. Track individual project performance, view actionable insights, monitor milestone achievements, and get personalized growth recommendations based on your data.
Milestones celebrate your growth journey: First 100 views, 500 views, 1,000 views, 50 likes, 100 likes, 10 followers, and more. Each milestone is tracked visually with achievement badges on your analytics dashboard. Hit a milestone and we'll celebrate with you!
Our analytics dashboard provides personalized recommendations based on your data: which projects are top performers, your engagement rate compared to similar creators, suggestions to improve visibility (like adding demo URLs), and tips for reaching the next milestone. Think of it as your personal growth coach.
Key strategies: Add a live demo URL (projects with demos get 3x more engagement), use relevant tags for discoverability, publish to the right category, add quality screenshots, share your project link on social media, engage with other creators' projects, and maintain an active presence. The New Creator Boost helps get initial traction!
You can like and comment on any project. Likes show appreciation for great work, while comments allow for feedback and discussion. Both are tracked in analytics. Engaging with other creators' projects helps build community and often results in reciprocal engagement.
Yes! Follow creators whose work you admire. You'll see their latest projects and can track their growth. Your follower count is displayed on your profile and in your analytics dashboard.
The Activity Ticker at the top of the homepage shows real-time platform activity: "John just published a new project", "Sarah liked Web Dashboard", etc. It creates excitement and shows that Viber’s Vault is a living, active community. It also helps with discovery!
Platform Stats on the homepage show total users, total projects, total views, and active users today. This transparency helps you understand the community size and activity level. Watching these numbers grow is exciting for everyone!
Projects are discovered through: homepage sections (Featured, Trending, New Arrivals, Community Favorites), category landing pages (/web-apps, /mobile-apps, etc.), search functionality, the Browse page with filtering, New Creator Boost visibility, Featured Posts, social sharing, and Google search (we have SEO optimization).
Each project category has a dedicated landing page optimized for SEO: /web-apps, /mobile-apps, /games, /tools, /libraries, /apis, /browser-extensions. These pages rank well in search engines and help people discover projects in specific categories. They show featured projects, trending, and all projects in that category.
Use specific, searchable tags (think about what people would search for), choose the correct category, write a clear description with keywords, add a compelling title, include a demo URL and screenshots, engage with the community (this boosts visibility), and share your project link externally to earn referrals.
Yes! Every project page is server-rendered with structured data (JSON-LD schema), OpenGraph tags for social sharing, and optimized meta descriptions. The site also publishes category landing pages, a dynamically generated sitemap, RSS feeds, an llms.txt file and an OpenAPI schema, so your projects can be discovered through Google search, AI assistants like ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity, and shared beautifully on social media.
Go to Settings from the main navigation. You can update your username, full name, bio, avatar, social links (GitHub, Twitter, LinkedIn, website), and more. Your profile is your portfolio - make it shine!
Yes, you can change your username in Settings. Note that changing your username will update your profile URL (/profile/your-username), so any external links to your old username will need to be updated.
A great bio includes: what you build (web apps, mobile apps, etc.), your tech stack, what you're passionate about, your experience level, what you're currently working on, and a touch of personality. Keep it concise but informative!
You can delete your account from the Settings page. This will permanently remove all your data, projects, and analytics. This action cannot be undone, so please be certain before proceeding.
Absolutely. We use Supabase for authentication and database, which provides enterprise-grade security. All connections are encrypted with SSL/TLS. We follow security best practices including Row Level Security (RLS) for database access. We never share your personal information with third parties.
When you visit a profile or project while not logged in, we store a cookie (valid for 30 days) noting which creator introduced you to the platform. This uses first-touch attribution - the first creator gets credit. The cookie contains only the creator ID, timestamp, and source. No personal information is tracked until you sign up.
Yes. Viber's Vault offers an agent-first API that lets AI agents create a verified identity and submit projects programmatically. The machine-readable contract is published at /openapi.json and a guide for agents is available at /agents.md. Human developers with specific API needs can also reach us through the Contact page.
Viber's Vault works on all modern browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, and their mobile versions. We use modern web standards and progressive enhancement, so even older browsers will work (though some visual effects may be simplified).
We love feedback! Use the Contact page to report bugs or suggest features. Include as much detail as possible for bugs (what happened, what you expected, browser/device). For feature requests, explain the problem you’re trying to solve and how you envision the solution working.
